The excitement over Christmas gifts is replaced with dressing up in your finest attire. Friends and family try to out-dress one another on Christmas Day. Festivals in the streets provide free entertainment and they also reflect the African tradition. Bright images of vibrant colors, costumes and masquerades mark these events.
